Brett and I just got back from a quick trip to the Big Apple. I had to go for work for some training to Jersey and we spend a few more days and enjoy some life in the fast lane in New York.
First night was spent at Time Square and walking around.
The second day we hit the city hard...Rockefellow Center, SUBWAY (YIKES!), Ground Zero, Empire State Building, Macys, and some yummy eating.
Empire State Building Ground Zero
The next day we did Central Park, NBC studio, LOTS OF WALKING, China Town...SCARY but I got me a purse for a great price, Grand Central Station, YUMMY Eating AGAIN, and our favorite....WICKED! It was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our final day we went to Ellis Island and Liberty Park to see the Statue of Liberty. We had 2 hours to spend before having to leave and catch our plane to fly home. All was well until a TINY fire happened at the end of the dock in the little hut. THIS TINY FIRE caused much grieve. They had to call the NYFD. About 60 firefighters showed up to put out this smokeless fire. They cancelled any ferries coming in and out for about a hour and half. Needless to say this caused us to miss our flight. I WAS SICK!!!!!!!!!! I wanted to see my babies so bad. We had to do a lot of running but we ended up catching a later flight that took us to Atlanta and then to SLC. We didn't get home until 1:30 A.M.
Where you see the crane is where Ground Zero is. God Bless those heroes but they could have stayed away on this day!:)
We had a Great TIme! As you can tell it was VERY CoLd everyday but it was fun.
Thank you Trisha and Ivy for taking care of my babies and making it easier to leave them.
Billi was raised on a small island off the coast of NC called Harkers Island. After teaching a few years in NC I decided to adventure out West to see what I could find. After 4 years of doing the singles ward thing I was about done with Utah. I was teaching at Goshen Elem and looking to move home. One of my little 4th graders was insisting that I meet her cousin. After a few phone calls a date was set up. Brett and I were married on August 13, 2004. Brett had two girls that made me an instant mom. On May 1, 2005, Easton joined the family. Brett was so excited to finally get his little boy. Twenty three months later little "Sunshine" Brooklyn joined us.
Brett currently works for Mountain Valley Temp Control . I am transferring "in town" from the land of Goshen to Rees Elementary in Spanish Fork as the Staff Developer.
