Great day to enjoy the outside and relax a little. Had to show one of our many flowerbeds. Brett and I both love working in the yard. Just a little hard for me lately:)

We had our ultrasound yesterday and everything was great. We found out we are having a "CHUNKY" baby girl. Honestly that scared me to think that they can already tell she is chunky. YIKES:) We can't wait until JULY 28th.

Brett and I just got back from a quick trip to the Big Apple. I had to go for work for some training to Jersey and we spend a few more days and enjoy some life in the fast lane in New York.

First night was spent at Time Square and walking around.

The second day we hit the city hard...Rockefellow Center, SUBWAY (YIKES!), Ground Zero, Empire State Building, Macys,and some yummy eating.

The next day we did Central Park, NBC studio, LOTS OF WALKING, China Town...SCARY but I got me a purse for a great price, Grand Central Station, YUMMY Eating AGAIN, and our favorite....WICKED! It was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our final day we went to Ellis Island and Liberty Park to see the Statue of Liberty. We had 2 hours to spend before having to leave and catch our plane to fly home. All was well until a TINY fire happened at the end of the dock in the little hut. THIS TINY FIRE caused much grieve. They had to call the NYFD. About 60 firefighters showed up to put out this smokeless fire. They cancelled any ferries coming in and out for about a hour and half. Needless to say this caused us to miss our flight. I WAS SICK!!!!!!!!!! I wanted to see my babies so bad. We had to do a lot of running but we ended up catching a later flight that took us to Atlanta and then to SLC. We didn't get home until 1:30 A.M.

God Bless those heroes but they could have stayed away on this day!:)

We had a Great TIme! As you can tell it was VERY CoLd everyday but it was fun.

Easton finally got to make his snowman. He has been begging forever and I finally gave in. Because I had never made a snowman I had no idea you had to have "a certain kind of snow." We worked hard but finally Brett came out and helped. I think he was starting to feel sorry for me or else he was hearing the choice words I was using because I couldn't make it work.

This is what happened yesterday as I was to work for a few hours and Brett was "watching" Sunshine and Eguy. MAN SHE IS BUSY!!!!!!!!!!! Yes that is VICKS VAPOR RUB, TOOTHPASTE and who knows what else. We are just luck she didn't fall or get it in her eyes. She climbed up by putting her potty next to a little 3 drawer stand I have and climbing up that way.

Brett and I went up to Heber so he could ride at an indoor arena. They are having a race there this weekend but luckily he has decided to just go to the ride night for sponsors(his company sponsors) instead of racing the races. It was nerve racking but fun at the same time. There is a huge relief everytime it is the final lap. He absolutely loves to ride.

In case you can't tell...he is #15, green and yellow.

Last night Brett walked in the house after his basketball game and I knew something was wrong immediately. I looked up and sure enough I was right. It is never good for a 5 foot 8 inch man to go up against a 6 foot 4 inch man to get the rebound. Little Man will always come out on the bottom. We go next Tuesday to have it adjusted.

Fabulous Fall

I love the Fall season but with it comes LOTS of work. This weekend we were determined to get all the flowersout of our yard and get ready for that yucky white stuff that fallls froo the sky. (Can't even say the word...make me to depressed.)

We have worked so hard the past two days and I can say it is DONE!:o)

I stopped a few moments to take some pictures today. Brett and Makaela were working hard to finalize the front bed. Brooklyn was enjoying the freedom of "whatever it takes to keep her busy so we can work." And Easton loved the fact that his "best friend" Mason was also outside. We missed placed him and of course a few minutes later we found him in Mason's backyard looking at bug with him.

We are SO gLaD it is DoNe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to show off Easton's pumpkins. He was so proud of them. He did them himself. (The newest and BeSt was to "crave" a pumpkin)

VIVA LAS VEGAS!

This weekend, Brett and I got to experience some fun..VEGAS style. We flew into Vegas on Thursday night and went to the Motocross Opening on Friday and Saturday night. To some it may be a HUGE surprise that I would even agree to such stuff. But it is something you can't help but get into when your husband is such a huge fan. And now I quite enjoy watching the races (as long as it isn't my husband or son doing it!)

After doing the "Guy Thing" for a couple of nights I thought it was my turn to do something in Vegas I have always wanted to do. So we went to the the Le Reve at the Wynn. OH MY GOODNESS! It was BREATHTAKING!

My kids have the most amazing aunt. This past weekend Brett and I took off for a getaway to Las Vegas. Trisha, Brett's Sister, watch the kids for us. She is AMAZING! Not only did she do a great job watching my kids, but when I got home tonight, she was here with the kids, bathed, bedded down, house was spotless, their things from the weekend put away, and all my laundry folded and put away. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Trisha, you have no idea how much that meant to me. A MILLION THANK YOUS!!!!!!

Beautiful Sunshine!

This morning I had to stop a few minutes and take some pictures of Brooklyn. She is so happy in the mornings.

Our Trip to the Zoo!

I was reading one of my friend's blog and it reminded me of a fun trip to the zoo we did this weekend. I was so proud of myself because I had remembered our camera. I took a ton of pictures. Trisha and her family and Brett's mom and dad also went so I took all kinds of cute pictures of everyone. (Thinking of how I was going to blog them the whole time.) We had walked the whole zoo and had gotten to the gorilla. I was telling Curt, Brett's dad, about a good picture I had taken and was going to show him. As I pushed the view button a message appeared...."NO CARD!"

I was SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:(

Kind of reminds me of the whole spring break trip as a college student to Florida that pictures were taken with no film.

Geez...you would think I would learn one of these days.

Ole Eguy is quite the cowboy. It concerns his father at times that he would rather play cowboy than ride a dirtbike or play ball.

Check out the boots....they use to be the triplets. They have become his favorite shoes even though they are about 3 sizes to big. He cracks me up walking around in them.

When the kids get home from Ivy's each day they love to have a snack. One of their favorites is Chips and Salsa. And since it is one of Mom's favorites too we have it often. Well this afternoon I didn't get myself any (which usually I do) so the kids were on their own to enjoy the chips and salsa. So I got the chips out and put out a few in front of each child and then poured the bowl of salsa. As I was pouring I was thinking....You really should pour 2 little bowls instead of this big one....well I am sure you know the rest of the story.
Brooklyn was enjoying it so much. I was getting a kick out of her dipping. She loves to dip but then she truly eats every bit of it. So I got out the camera to catch the cute moment....not to mention the hair alone was worth a pictures. (Ripping out pigtails is one of her favorite things to do!:)) As soon as I put the camera down to start on dinner I hear...Oh no SUNSHINE! You are in TROUBLE! I didn't even need to turn around I knew exactly what had happen! But hey what can I say besides to myself....I TOLD YOU SO!

On Saturday, Brett went golfing with his work. He won a gift certificate to Red Lobster. On his way home he called me to see what I was do. And of course I was doing the same thing I do every Saturday....laundry, cleaning and kids. I think he was feeling a little quilty and said..."When I get home I want you to go to the Red Lobster with a friend and then go shopping." So I took him up on it. I called Trisha and off we went. We had so much fun but I have to say at Red Lobster on Saturday night just two girls....We got some wierd looks. It was kind of funny. After a full belly, we headed to the mall. Even though I went to buy me something I ended up at The Children's Place. Man I love that store. And of course a girl's night out isn't complete unless you go to WALMART>:)
It was so much fun and a break that was much needed. When I got home Brett never once said one thing about how much money I spent. I could have spent much more and he would have never said a word about it. He is so good to me!

Yesterday was Makaela's Birthday. Her dad took her to the mall that morning. I think he enjoyed it as much as her. HE LOVES TO SHOP! In the afternoon she wanted to go swimming so we went to Payson Pool. The kids really enjoyed it.
Makaela is such a sweet girl and a great big sister. She is great help with the little ones. It is our pray that she will always be strong member of the church and WALK TALL!

On June 5, 2004, Brett and I were to Lake Powell with his family. He and I were floating on a tube talking about our life. In the conversation marriage came up. We had been only dating 1 1/2 months and there was no doubt we were going to be together forever. Just a few weeks later he flew home with me to meet "the parents." I remember getting on the plane flying back to Utah and thinking to myself...."I will never come to this Island again single." Oh was I right. HOWEVER I had no idea that it was going to be so soon. I recall calling my mom on July 12th to inform her we were official engaged. I will never forget her saying..."You mean you are going to get married NEXT August 13th."
"Oh no, This August 13th."
"You mean 1 month and 1 day from today and I am in North Carolina."
1 month and 1 day from that conversation we had the most beautiful wedding you can ever imagine. Needless to say the phone bill was $600 that month but it all worked out.:)
In the past four years Brett and I have grown to love each other More and More. We have had our challenges joining an already started family of 3 but it as been wonderful. Brett is such a wonderful husband and father. Easton and Brooklyn love him so much. Some nights I just sit back and watch him playing with them and realize I have a bit of heaven here on this earth.
Thank you, Brett, for 4 wonderful years. I look forward to growing old with you!

I am...a Carolina Girl longing for the day that I can afford to fly home anytime I would like!
I think... this year is going to be a hard year at Rees but change is good.
I know...I am far from perfect but I try my very best to be the best mom I can be.
I want... my kids to find great happiness and success in their life
I have... been born of goodly parents!
I wish... I had my pre-baby body, skin and hair back! Man did it all disappear fast! Who knows what is up with the face thing.....I am about ready to go have all of it stripped off and start again.
I hate... when I have no control over things and to lose!
I miss... Granny and Pa, and Harkers Island
I fear.... my husband is going to do one of his crazy stunts one of these days and I lose him
I feel... excited but scared about moving to Rees Elementary this year.
I hear... kids playing, ESPN, Easton saying, "I want to hold you, Mommy."
I smell... things that remind me of my childhood. It is weird, I smell things at times that totally takes me back to Island times.
I search... guidance and success in being a mother and wife.
I wonder...if I am done having kids or is there one more out there....More than likely DONE
I regret...not relaxing more as a single girl and enjoying it....instead I was always uptight worried I was never going to get married.
I love... being with my husband alone. Since we have been married we have always had kids around. We don't have to many moments alone and I cherish them.
I care... about those who are without. My dream is to be able to give to others.
I always... double check all the doors at night and make sure they are locked and make sure my kids are covered before going to bed.
I am not... as romantic as my husband would like me to be....must be the lack of sleep and kids always being there.:)
I believe...in God the eternal Father, his son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost.
I dance... with my kids all the time. They love it and thank heavens no one can see us.:)
I sing... all the time, everywhere and anywhere. I love to sing. I just wished I had taken lessons when I was young.
I don't always... tell Brett everything I buy.....but I know he doesn't tell me everything thing he buys either....
I write...letters when I get really frustrated. I am horrible at telling people how I feel. I do much better at writing...my easy way out I guess
I win...when I get 8 hours of sleep. I don't think that has happened in 4 years.
I lose... when I get so up tight about the house not being clean and when things don't go my way. I also lose EVERYTIME I play my husband in any sport....except WII golf.:)
I never thought I would ... be in Salem, Utah for the rest of my life.
I listen... to what my new principal says....HE KNOWS HIS STUFF! And my husband...not that I always do what he wants but I do listen.
I read... lots of emails, blogs, and boring educational stuff....
I am happy about... the choice I made to wait until I was 30 years old to marry my husband. I am very happy that I have 2 beautiful children that amaze me every day with the things they say and things they do.

It has been fun having Memaw and Ole Pa here from North Carolina. Sunshine sure does love her Memaw. This afternoon we took a picnic up to Payson Lakes and enjoyed the beautiful scenery, cool air, raindrops, and Memaw's Light Bread. After the picnic we took a walk around the lake.

Today Brett and I went to Ephrium for the funeral of Brett's Cousin Lyndzee. She was 10 years old and had an accident on an ATV this past week. It was one of the saddest funerals I have ever attended. After the funeral, we wanted to brighten our day a little so we decided to take the kids to the temple in Manti which was only a few minutes away. I am so glad we did. The kids really enjoyed walking (running) around the temple grounds. Easton kept asking were Jesus was and if he could go inside and talk to him. In one picture you will see that he tried to open the doors of the temple to go see Jesus. I realized even more today how thankful I am that I have the understanding of the gospel and how fortunate we are that we can be together forever.

On Monday, we took the kids to see the Livestock Parade in Spanish Fork to kick off the Fiesta Day Celebrations. Easton loved seeing all the animals but wanted to know where the bucking bulls were. I tried to convince him that wouldn't be a good idea to have them running down the street.

Motocross Vacation

Some may think of a vacation as going to a beautiful sandy beach and enjoy some nice rays while the waiter brings you a nice cold VIRGIN strawberry daiquiri. My husband on the other hand thinks of a vacation as going to Filmore, Utah and riding motorcycles.
This weekend we packed up and heading to Filmore for Brett to enjoy some time on his bike. It was actually pretty fun for the most part. I will share each one of our highlights from the trip.

For some reason I have had Granddaddy Linwood on my mind so strong today. Even though in the last eight years I have not been able to see him a lot I still always knew he was there. I would call him at least once a week and with every conversation it would end..."Take care of number 1 and know who loves you."

As some of you know, we received our "Sunshine" on April 15th of last year. I can't imagine life without her. She was hand picked by Granny Louise. She has the cutest personalilty and just a joy to be around. We call her "Sunshine" because when she came home I would always sing "You are my Sunshine." Easton thought that was her name so that is what he called her. It has kind of stuck.

OUCH! E-guy got his little fingers a little to close to the sparks.

The kids had a blast on the 4th playing with the cousins on the waterslide. We went to the church the night before and did fireworks. We also shot some off the 4th with our neighbors.
